1. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AMMONIUM ALUM AND POTASSIUM ALUM?

Alum mineral salts can consist of different salts, which make the final crystal structure. The most common and widely used salts in alum are ammonium and potassium. On contrary to popular belief, ammonium and potassium alum are both safe and can be used for its medicinal properties, as official in the Pharmacopoeia N.F XII. Ammonium alum is more widely used in Southeast Asia while potassium alum is more common in Europe.

2. DO YOU MAKE AMMONIUM OR POTASSIUM ALUM?

Since we are the supplier of alum deodorant all over the world, we produce both ammonium and potassium alum depending on requests of our customers.

3. WHY IS ALUM SO EFFECTIVE?

First of all, what is the cause of body odor? It is sweat and bacteria on the skin that form a chemical reaction, creating unpleasant odors. Alum works on these two factors to provide an effective solution as an anti-perspirant as well as preventing an overgrowth of odor-causing bacteria.

4. HOW DOES ALUM PREVENT BODY ODOR?

Alum is a strong astringent that constricts the pores and reduces perspiration from sweat glands, and therefore dries the skin where it is applied. When alum is wet and applied to the underarm region, it imparts the antiseptic properties that prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria. Thus, alum is doubly effective in stopping body odor.

5. IS THE ALUM DEODORANT SAFE?

Alum is safe when applied topically to the skin; its molecules remain and work only on the epidermal cell surface and do not penetrate into the deeper skin layers.

6. ARE ALL ALUM DEODORANTS THE SAME?

All DEONAT products have been clinically tested and approved for safety and efficacy. Apart from this, our unique crystallization process ensures that our DEONAT products are free of impurities and the best quality possible.

7. HOW DO YOU USE THE DEONAT ALUM STICK?
After showering every morning, wet the tip of DEONAT stick and apply to clean underarm areas.
